MGLI BRANDS Allure Philippines

A Mirror, a Megaphone, and a Movement

Allure Philippines marks the third global edition of the iconic beauty authority, following its celebrated presence in the United States and Korea. Brought to the region through a licensing agreement with Condé Nast and MEGA Global Licensing Inc., Allure Philippines embraces Southeast Asia’s distinct voices, redefining beauty through the lens of diversity, identity, and cultural nuance.

Allure Philippines officially launched on April 30, 2025, immediately igniting a conversation that resonated far beyond national borders. The launch event, centered on the concept of the “House of Experts,” underscored Allure’s authority in beauty journalism and its commitment to elevating informed, inclusive dialogue.

The launch of Allure in the Philippines marked a significant moment in the local beauty industry—bringing together renowned experts, industry icons, celebrities, and top brands celebrating the arrival of a globally respected publication known for its commitment to truth and authenticity in beauty.

More than a publication, Allure Philippines is a cultural force. It champions self-expression, challenges conventional norms, and redefines beauty through the lens of Filipino identity. It is not just a brand—it is a movement.

Meet the Editor-in-Chief

Rissa Mananquil Trillo has a diverse background in modeling, journalism, and entrepreneurship. She started as a beauty columnist, later becoming a published author and the award-winning founder of a local beauty brand. Alongside her career, she has also been recognized as a UN Women champion for her advocacy in women’s empowerment.

Her transition into editorial leadership reflects a deep commitment to thoughtful storytelling and inclusive representation. Now at the helm of Allure Philippines, she guides the brand with a focus on integrity, diversity, and editorial excellence—reshaping the conversation around beauty for the next generation.

Where Beauty Finally Looks Like Us

Allure Philippines’ maiden issue, “The Filipino Now,” spotlighted the influence and presence of Filipinos on the global stage—Influential. Impactful. Globally Present.

The issue featured stories that celebrated and examined Filipino beauty through a distinctly local lens: expert tips for morena skin, research on melanin, a cultural study of the Filipino nose, and a critical look at prevailing beauty standards.

At its core was a powerful manifesto—an ode to the women who came before and a call to the next generation: morena beauty is legacy, identity, and power.
