This year’s theme, ‘The Search for the Philippines’ Next Gen Z Disruptors’ challenges student marketers to push boundaries by integrating AI, innovation, and sustainability into real-world marketing solutions.

For AGC PHC, this partnership reflects that belief—we are investing in the emerging talent that will define and drive the next chapter of our industry.”

Leah Ayeng, CEO of Prestige Paper Products and PMA Director for Youth and Academe

The PMA also highlighted the vital role of young marketers in navigating today’s disruptive landscape, reinforcing their ability to lead with creativity and passion. “We know there are many disruptors today, with AI leading the way. At the same time, sustainability and environmental responsibility are becoming essential to businesses. These shifts are encouraging, especially with the passion and drive we see from Gen Z. We’re hopeful our alumni will become the next generation of leaders, not just in Philippine marketing, but across the business landscape,” said Leah Ayeng, PMA Director for Youth and Academe.

AGC PHC’s support for AYA is rooted in the personal journey of its Chairman and CEO, Archie G. Carrasco, a rare two-time awardee of the Agora Youth Awards for individual and group honors, known then as TOMAS (Ten Outstanding Marketing Students) and TOSMA (Three Outstanding Student Marketing Association) respectively. He remains deeply committed to nurturing young talent, notably reflected in the company’s welcoming of five AYA past winners into its workforce.

MEGA Ball 2025: Fashion + Dance Honors Movers and Changemakers

A two-night celebration of fashion and movement honoring Filipino creativity, national pride, and ten exceptional women shaping culture and progress

Movement and motion take center stage at the MEGA Ball 2025: Fashion + Dance. Held annually on June 12, the MEGA Ball is an ode to Filipino talent, a bold statement on the future of fashion, and a tribute to 33 remarkable years of shaping Filipino style and culture.

In its 15th edition, the MEGA Ball gathered artists, public figures, and industry leaders for two nights centered on the theme of “Fashion + Dance” at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City. For the first time, MEGA expanded the experience to its subscribers on the second night, extending its reach to a wider audience.

AGC PHC Chairman and CEO Archie G. Carrasco and Co-Chair of the MEGA Ball 2025: Fashion + Dance Georcelle Dapat-Sy

In her acceptance speech, Georcelle Dapat-Sy, one of this year’s Pinoy Pride Awardees and Co-Chair of the MEGA Ball 2025: Fashion + Dance, paid tribute to AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC) Chairman and CEO Archie G. Carrasco for his visionary leadership and commitment to championing Filipino excellence. She said, “Archie Carrasco, your vision is truly one of a kind—only you could have made this happen. You’ve brought the spirit of Pinoy pride together under one roof, not just for one, but two unforgettable evenings. To the entire MEGA team, congratulations on this incredible achievement.”

Fashion meets movement

Every arrival was a statement, with elegant silhouettes that mirrored the tone of the evening. As the night went on, the ballroom became a space where fashion and dance converged, with the ball’s theme coming to life.

Among the first evening’s defining moments was a dynamic performance by G-Force, led by its masterful founder Dapat-Sy, which brought to life the enduring passion for dance deeply rooted in Filipino culture.

On the second night, the ballroom was elevated by a compelling presentation from the Alice Reyes Dance Company, whose modern folk performance honored Filipino heritage through refined movement and artistic expression.

A transformative force in Philippine dance, Alice Reyes founded Ballet Philippines and the Alice Reyes Dance Company, redefining the national dance landscape by blending classical, modern, and indigenous forms. She continues to mentor young talents and champion dance as a vital expression of Filipino identity.

Agnes Locsin – Pinoy Pride Awardee for Dance

Agnes Locsin, widely recognized for shaping neo-ethnic choreography in the Philippines, has left a lasting impact on the country’s cultural landscape through acclaimed works such as Encantada and Moriones, earning her the title of National Artist for Dance in 2022. As the founder of the Locsin Dance Workshop, she has also nurtured generations of Filipino dancers and choreographers. Although Locsin was unable to attend the MEGA Ball 2025, she was nonetheless honored as a significant figure in the evening’s celebration of Filipino excellence.

G-Force delivered a high-energy finale on both nights, igniting the dance floor and bringing the stars together in a celebration of movement and national pride. Laurel Vera Cruz steps into the role with a mandate to drive content excellence and operational synergy across print, digital, and social platforms, while strengthening the brand’s positioning among high-net-worth audiences.

“Robb Report Philippines must go beyond being a platform that merely showcases luxury,” she says. “It should be a discerning curator and connector for modern connoisseurs—telling stories of legacy, innovation, and craftsmanship, while bridging global excellence with Filipino sophistication.”

The appointment signals a return for Laurel Vera Cruz to the AGC PHC ecosystem, where she previously held editorial and strategic roles at Lifestyle Asia and NYLON Manila. This experience afforded her not only an insider’s grasp of the company’s brand architecture and creative standards, but also an appreciation for the collaborative culture that defines AGC’s operational model.

Her leadership philosophy is informed by a multi-sector background that blends media, education, and heritage. “My early exposure to leadership and public service within my family taught me the value of legacy-building,” she shares. “At Lifestyle Asia, I learned how to speak to an audience that values both prestige and purpose. My time at Lyceum of the Philippines University allowed me to expand that understanding through institutional branding and identity-building initiatives.”

In her new role, Laurel Vera Cruz is expected to play a critical part in expanding Robb Report Philippines’ editorial and business ambitions. She will work closely with the editorial team to uphold the brand’s storytelling standards while developing strategies to grow its audience and cultivate high-impact brand partnerships. As chairman of Philippine Art Events Inc. and PHx Fashion Group, she has built bridges between the art and fashion communities, supporting local creatives while elevating their visibility on the world stage. Her experience includes a two-term tenure as secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Museum Foundation of the Philippines and current membership on the advisory board of The Museum at De La Salle University.

Her appointment broadens Vogue Philippines’ editorial exploration of the arts and design.

Pam Quiñones

Quiñones has long been a fixture in the Philippine fashion industry, known for her work as a stylist, creative director, and entrepreneur. She founded Qurator Studio in 2014, an incubator that mentors and represents emerging stylists, and co-founded Vestido Manila, a designer fashion rental space promoting sustainability and accessibility, in 2018. Currently serving as the magazine’s fashion director, she has helped establish Vogue Philippines’ distinct editorial voice by blending contemporary style with deep-rooted Filipino aesthetics.

Her elevation to deputy editor signals a continued investment in fashion storytelling that balances commercial innovation with cultural authenticity.
