Lifestyle Asia ushers in a bold new chapter as Kerry Tinga steps into the role of Chief of Editorial Content, setting the stage for a refreshed approach to modern luxury. With a focus on speaking to the next generation of society and luxury leaders, Tinga’s vision positions the iconic brand as the definitive voice for those shaping the future of affluence.
Tinga’s appointment marks an exciting shift for Lifestyle Asia, which, under her leadership, will unveil a refreshed editorial direction early this year. She aims to redefine luxury for a dynamic and discerning audience, inviting readers to explore what it means to lead with purpose, passion, and influence in today’s world.
Tinga’s journey in media began with a weekly column for Manila Bulletin Lifestyle’s Youth Section, where she delved into the interests and issues of a new generation. As the Youth Section Editor, she further cemented her reputation for connecting with forward-thinking audiences. Her expertise expanded into corporate communications for one of the country’s largest conglomerates, as well as a teaching stint in Purposive Communication at MINT College, where she inspired young minds to embrace the power of storytelling.
Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws degree from University College London, where she honed her global perspective and interdisciplinary approach. Tinga was also among the first cohort of the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation’s NextGen Leadership Program, where she worked alongside promising young leaders across Southeast Asia and drew inspiration from the region’s most celebrated changemakers.

Tinga sees people as the driving force behind the enduring success of Lifestyle Asia. “Legacies are born out of time, but they are built by people. Lifestyle Asia’s over 30-year legacy is a testament to that,” she says, “What excites me most are the people: those behind the scenes, on the covers, inside the pages, and engaging with our stories. They are all part of a living map charting the course for Lifestyle Asia’s future, and I am honored to be a part of it.”
As the brand pivots to embrace the aspirations of a younger, more dynamic audience, Tinga promises to introduce a “fun and dynamic” Lifestyle Asia both visually and verbally. “I think it is important to know what we are and what we aren’t, so that we can be really, really great at what we are. We aren’t what you’ll read on Monday morning with your coffee to get ready for the work week. We are what you are reading during those stolen moments in the middle of work in preparation for the weekend, so you know where to go, what to do, and what to talk about – fun and fascinating moments of discovery and sparking conversation on the now and the next.”
