Billboard Philippines Launches First-Ever P-POP Unite: The Convention, Celebrating the Growth of P-Pop and Its Community

Billboard Philippines, a media brand under Modern Media Group Inc. (MMGI), marked a new milestone for Filipino music with the launch of the first-ever P-POP Unite: The Convention, held at SPACE, One Ayala on June 24, 2026. Bringing together P-pop artists, fans, record labels, sponsors, and industry leaders, the convention became a gathering point for the entire P-pop ecosystem and celebrated the continued rise of the genre through live performances, interactive experiences, fan engagements, and industry discussions.

The first-ever P-POP UNITE: The Convention was driven by the collective efforts of teams across AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC) and MMGI. From months of planning and coordination to event production, content creation, partnerships, and audience engagement, each team played an integral part in delivering a memorable convention experience.

The AGC PHC Events Team led the overall production and guest experience, overseeing the execution of the stage, technical elements, and event programming. DigistarPH managed the convention’s artist coordination, media relations, and creator engagement efforts, handling artist requirements while facilitating media and content creator invitations to expand the reach of the event.

The Media Channels team contributed to the event’s content direction through artist features, video production, and on-ground coverage. KLIQ documented key moments throughout the convention, capturing artist performances, fan experiences, and event highlights through visual coverage. Meanwhile, the wider AGC PHC and MMGI teams across partnerships, sales, creative services, promotions, and administration provided essential support in delivering a seamless experience for attendees, artists, and partners.

Celebrating the Voices of P-Pop

The convention also highlighted the artists who continue to shape the evolution of P-pop. Fans witnessed performances from RAYA, YGIG, GAT, VXON, HARA, YES MY LOVE, WWINK, ALAMAT, J2X, CLOUD7, AJAA, KAIA, WRIVE, DNA, XONARA, BGYO, FINA, 1621, HORI7ON, and G22, showcasing the diversity of talent and creativity within the Filipino music scene.

A Platform for the Future of Filipino Music

Billboard Philippines Chief of Editorial Content Bret Jackson

For Billboard Philippines Chief of Editorial Content Bret Jackson, the first-ever P-POP Unite: The Convention represented a celebration of the collective community behind the movement—from artists and industry leaders to fans who continue to champion Filipino music:

“Today’s gathering is a celebration of a movement built by artists, labels, industry leaders, and most importantly, all of the fans who continue to champion Filipino music every single day. P-pop is music, P-pop is community, and it is seeing ourselves in the stories these artists tell—believing that Filipino talent deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated on the biggest stages in the world.”

MMGI Chief Operating Officer and Billboard Philippines Publisher Anne Bernisca

For Billboard Philippines Publisher and MMGI Chief Operations Officer Anne Bernisca, the growth of P-pop reflects the evolution of a movement that continues to reach wider audiences:

“When we launched Billboard Philippines nearly three years ago, P-pop was still defining itself, and people were asking, ‘What’s P-pop? What does it sound like? What does it stand for?’ But today, it is very clear. P-pop has become a movement and has captured audiences—not just here, but all over the world.”

As P-pop continues to grow and reach new audiences, P-POP Unite: The Convention reflects Billboard Philippines’ commitment to providing platforms that celebrate Filipino artists, strengthen the music community, and champion the future of local talent.
