Vogue Philippines names Trickie Lopa its new Editor-in-Chief

MEGA Global Group Inc. selects a champion of Filipino design and contemporary art as its new editorial leader ahead of its fourth anniversary

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Vogue Philippines, the 29th edition of the global fashion authority, announced today its new Editor-in-Chief, who is a pioneering force in the Philippine art, fashion and culture scene.

“I am excited to have Trickie lead Vogue Philippines into its next chapter. Her deep understanding of art, culture, fashion, and Filipino creativity makes her the right editorial leader for this moment.” says Archie Carrasco, Chairman and CEO of MEGA Global Group Inc. and the publisher of Vogue, Allure and GQ in the Philippines. “As Vogue Philippines approaches its fourth year, we remain committed to telling stories that celebrate our identity, craftsmanship, and cultural voice on the global stage. With Trickie’s vision and experience, I am confident that Vogue Philippines will continue to inspire audiences across generations while championing the best of the Filipino spirit.”

Patricia Maria Colayco Lopa, known widely as Trickie Lopa, is an influential cultural entrepreneur and the co-founder of Art Fair Philippines and Art in the Park. Trickie grew up in the Philippines and earned her degree in AB Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University. She also expanded her global perspective through studies at George Washington University and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

As a champion of local fashion talent, Trickie is also the Founder and Chairman of PHx Fashion Group Inc., an initiative dedicated to educating emerging Filipino designers on the business of fashion and helping them learn to operate at global standards. Her leadership in the arts extends to civic duties, having served on the Board of Trustees for the Museum Foundation of the Philippines and the De La Salle University Museum.

With her vast experience, Trickie envisions elevating the conversation around Philippine creativity through Vogue Philippines. “Vogue has always been the ultimate chronicler of the zeitgeist. By integrating a deep appreciation for our unique art and cultural practice with the global fashion standard, we aim to showcase the best of the Filipino spirit to the world,” she says. Trickie at the helm of the Vogue Philippines editorial team will be vital in ensuring that the brand embodies its mission of celebrating identity, craftsmanship, and the evolving contemporary landscape.

“What excites me most is the intersection of fashion, art, and cultural identity. Leading Vogue Philippines allows me to tell the stories of our creative community in a way that deepens our connection to country and culture. And this would be for Filipinos at home and elsewhere, those who have ties to our country through family, heritage, or history,” says Lopa.

Vogue Philippines continues its presence across print, digital, and social media platforms, with Lopa transitioning from her role as Deputy Editor for Art and Culture to lead the title’s next chapter.
