MMGI signals a shift in media strategy: Gen Z is no longer a segment—it is the standard.
PASIG CITY, PHILIPPINES — March 23, 2026 — Modern Media Group Inc. (MMGI), a media subsidiary of AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC), formally announces the conclusion of the Nylon Manila franchise under its portfolio. This decision reflects MMGI’s continued evolution toward a more focused, high-impact media ecosystem aligned with scalable, multi-platform growth.
Since its inception under MMGI, Nylon Manila has served as a defining voice for the Gen Z audience—championing individuality, creativity, and self-expression. It provided a platform for emerging talent and progressive narratives, contributing meaningfully to the way youth culture is documented and experienced in the Philippines.
“Nylon Manila demonstrated that youth culture in the Philippines is not only vibrant, but deeply influential,” said Anne Bernisca, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of MMGI. “It allowed us to engage a generation of creators and audiences in a way that was both authentic and forward-looking. As we move ahead, that same cultural understanding will continue to shape how we build and grow our platforms.”
As part of MMGI’s broader strategic direction, the essence of Nylon Manila—its perspective, energy, and connection to youth culture—has been thoughtfully integrated across the group’s expanding portfolio. This ensures that Gen Z engagement remains central, not confined to a single brand, but embedded across multiple platforms and categories.
“After Generation X, generational cycles have compressed, with each generation now defined within a ten-year period,” said Archie Carrasco, Chairman and CEO of AGC Power Holdings Corp. “Five years ago, Gen Z was still in the process of finding its voice. Today, they are clear in their identity, and their interests now cut across all categories—from fashion and music to lifestyle, business, sports, and culture. This shift requires a fundamental change in how we approach media.”
This transition enables MMGI to concentrate its resources on scaling globally recognized titles such as Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, and Robb Report Philippines, alongside the continued development of The GAME. Through this focused approach, MMGI strengthens its position as a leading culture-driven media group, delivering content that resonates across generations while maintaining strong relevance with younger audiences.
MMGI also shares that most members of the Nylon Manila team have since transitioned into new roles across the AGC Power Holdings Corp. ecosystem, where they continue to contribute their creativity and expertise across various brands and platforms.
MMGI extends its sincere gratitude to the past editors and writers, photographers, creatives, partners, and readers who shaped Nylon Manila into a meaningful and influential platform. Its impact on the local creative community remains an integral part of MMGI’s ongoing journey.
